Also known as the Bird’s Nest due to the stadium’s outward appearance. The design is originated from Chinese ceramics and implemented beams which were used to hide the support for the retractable roof.


4. Three Gorges Dam

Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River in China is the heaviest concrete structure in the world. The dam was constructed by using 1,445 crores pounds of concrete. The dam is 2,335 m (7,661 ft) long and the top of the dam is 185 m (607 ft) above sea level.


5. Golden Gate Bridge

The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge connecting the city of San Francisco with Marin County. More than 40 million trips are made across this bridge every year. It is one of the longest as well as tallest suspension bridge in the world, with a main span of 4,200 feet (1,280 m) and a total height of 746 feet (227 m).
